PMVA Training involves the Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression. The question is What is PMVA training? and how important it is for an individual to go through the Prevention Management of Violence and Aggression training.
The role of Healthcare professionals is to deliver good care. NHS Protect in 2013 defines Challenging behavior as “Any non-verbal, verbal or physical behavior exhibited by a person which makes it difficult to deliver good care safely”. Our training focuses on how to manage those behaviors that makes it difficult to deliver good care. We also acknowledge that as humans, we come into conflict with one another and this will include people we have a duty of care towards. How we resolve those conflicts without the use of restrictive intervention is an integral part of our training.
